COVID-19

Our COVID-19 Safety Measures

Even as the population achieves higher vaccination numbers and the local health unit has moved into stage three of the province’s reopening plan, we will continue to ensure that there is a 24 hour vacancy between departing guests and arriving guests. This enables us to clean and sanitize each cottage.

We use a disinfectant fogging machine the day of departure and we allow the disinfectant to dry and do its work. The next morning, we enter each cottage and perform a 4-5 hour cleaning and preparation of your cottage.

Anyone coming into our office is required to wear their mask or a type of face covering that covers both their nose and mouth. Please bring masks with you whenever you are out exploring when social distancing is not possible.

Currently, as part of government regulations, we are required to go through a health screening process with all of our guests. If you or anyone in your family or group are experiencing any symptoms, please notify us and we can postpone your visit until you are feeling better. Any guest presenting symptoms upon arrival will be asked to return home and to contact their healthcare provider. I will be contacting you a day or two prior to your arrival to ask a series of health screening questions.

For the safety of our guests we will not be able to provide the following items this season that have shared contact surfaces that are more difficult to sanitize such as: cutlery, BBQ utensils, glassware, dishes, pots, pans, Kuerig coffee machine, toaster. Guests may wish to bring either paper plates and plastic cups, and plastic cutlery or your favourite dishes, as well as pots, pans, etc.

We are also asking guests to bring their own toilet paper (2 ply only please as we are on a septic system), hand soap and dish soap. We are unable to provide these items this season in order to minimize the spread of C OVID-19 on shared contact items. We ask that any leftover items be taken back home with you at the end of your stay.

We will provide a regular coffee maker, and a kettle upon request which will be cleaned and sanitized between guests. We will also continue to provide all bed linens, bath towels, kitchen towels, and beach towels.

We will do our utmost best to give each of our guests a wonderful, relaxing stay. We will be monitoring the Provincial Government and the Public Health Units guidelines and regulations. We ask that our guests please do the same while visiting and exploring the Tobermory area.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we all learn to adjust to this new normal. We will update you as changes are made by our Provincial and Municipal Governments and our local Health Unit.
