The Anchor is an extremely large wooden stock anchor from an unknown vessel. This site is a shore dive and can be accessed at “The Gap” – the tip of Highway # 6 between the church and Bruce Anchor Cruises.
Divers must park along the street – turn right as though you are going to the ferry- parking is on the north side of the road.
Entry for this site is off of the rocks at the ‘Gap’ & care must be taken as the tour boats come & go from the dock on your right. As this is a shared site with tour boats, extreme caution is necessary. Always tow a flag, stay close to it & if there is a boat at the dock never go under it.
The anchor is immediately in front of the 7th building east of The Gap. This is a brown cottage with yellow trim.
The anchor is about 75 feet off shore in 60 -70 feet of water at the edge of the rock and silt.
